Stop Waiting for Perfection
Do you have big plans that you’re waiting for the perfect time to start? Or do you have a business idea that you’d like to implement, but you’re waiting until everything is perfect before you launch?
Well stop.
Waiting for perfection means that you will never do the things you want to do.
And it’s just an excuse, much of the time. An excuse that covers up fear, or maybe a sense of failure, although we may not realize it at first.
Maybe you’ve given up on budgeting, because you tried it in the past and failed. The truth is, you probably didn’t fail. You probably just didn’t know that everyone needs to make adjustments to their budget pretty regularly, at least for the first year or so.
Or maybe you put up an ebook, but got discouraged because you didn’t have any sales. Once again, you probably didn’t fail. In fact, you got a lot further than all of the people who thought of writing an ebook but never even wrote it. Maybe you just need to get better at marketing.
No matter what it is, the more you do something, the better you’ll get at it. But if you wait until you can do it perfectly, you’ll be waiting forever.
Instead, be like the little kid who learns to walk.
Scoot along the ground for awhile, then crawl, then toddle, then walk. Get up when you fall down, and try again, adjusting where necessary. It’s a process — a process that will help you reach your dreams.
I heard this quote from a motivational speaker recently: “Do the best you can with what you have….’cause what you have is plenty!”
