MoneyCrush Turns Two! Maybe You’d Like a Present?
That’s right, MoneyCrush has been live for two years now. Apparently time flies when you’re a blogger, because it doesn’t seem like all that long ago.
And while I’d love to celebrate by giving every single one of you 930+ subscribers and 10,000ish monthly visitors a present, a little bit of budgeting says no. (I had to get something personal finance-related in there somewhere, right?)
So here’s what I’m going to do instead. I’ll pick two of you, and you’ll each get a gift card worth $50 to use on Amazon. Know though that I’m happy to have you all as readers. Thanks for being here!
If you want a chance at a present, just:
- Tell someone that you like reading MoneyCrush. (It doesn’t matter who, how, or what words you use — you can tell your dog if you like — but it’d be nice if you tell someone who you think might enjoy reading MoneyCrush too.)
- Leave a comment in this post saying something that you like about MoneyCrush or my Pay Off Debt app.

Now here’s the “fine print”: Giveaway ends at midnight Arizona time on October 22, 2011. Void where prohibited, and if you’re in my immediate family you already know you can’t enter. The giveaway winners will be chosen by numbering the entries and then using the True Random Number Generator to generate the numbers of the 2 winning entries. If you win and don’t respond to my email or notice in the comments of this post that you’ve won within 7 days of the contest end, I’ll pick a new winner. Not responsible for late or misdirected entries. If you win, you’ll also need to specify which version of Amazon I should get your gift card from (.com, .ca, .co.uk, etc.) If that doesn’t work on my end for some reason, I’ll substitute something else of approximately equal value. I like to go out for Italian food when it’s my birthday. Yum.
Congratulations on your blogoversary!
Congratulations! I love that Money Crush is part of the Yakezie Challenge, because I might not have found your wonderful blog had it not been. I also like that you write in a manner that relates to many, and I’ve shared your blog through posting about it on mine as well as telling friends who I know are interested in PF. Here’s to many more great years!
How exciting! Happy two years!
Tweeted! I also like the design of your site, clean and uncluttered.
I love how practical the advise is that you give in your blog. It doesn’t require crazy things like for instance extreme couponing does. Good sensible advise. Thanks.
I told our 643 twitter followers about this contest and hence that I like this site :)
Congratulations! I definitely share your blog with others (I’m so impressed with your app).
Personally, I love that your articles make me reflect.
Congrats on celebrating two years! I love how MoneyCrush has the ability to make me reflect on my own relationship with money.
Congrats on the two years! I tweeted this to get the word out!
I read a lot of finance blogs, and I’ve unsubscribed to a lot of them, too. I like the way your posts are short and sweet. You get the point across concisely, instead of making me wade through 2K words.
I like the variety of topics you address. I always learn something when I read your posts. Happy 2 years!
Congrats on the 2-year anniversary!
I love your site, because I like to educate myself about finance!
I enjoy your blog because you offer easy to understand advice and information about finances.
I like your blog because you always try to relate it to examples in real life.
I got interested in personal finance some time ago and pure chance brought me to your blog which I really like because you keep it simple and down to earth. Being French it also allows me to practice my English. Concerning the “tell someone part” I keep telling my sister and mother to check your blog which they haven’t done yet but I haven’t lost faith.
I love the practical tips and obvious advice (save 10%) no-nonsense but light and enjoyable reading.
Happy 2 years!!
I love that you spell things out simply so they are understandable for non-financial folks.
Congrats on the Blogoversary! I appreciate your blog, and I like to follow financial tips and advice – very helpful for people like me who want to know and don’t know exactly where to find that kind of info.
Congrats on the two years! I tweeted this!
Happy Blogiversary! I started reading MoneyCrush this summer… I love the practical, no-nonsense approach you take to personal finances. Thanks for all you do!
Congratulations on your blog’s anniversary! Sadly, I did not read this post in time. I could have joined the fun. Anyway, I am looking forward to more posts from you.
I like your honest and professional advice :). I’ll tweet this to tell people about it :)
And the winners are…
Jenna & Mary!
I’ve emailed you both :)
