For Love or Money: What’s the Strangest Thing You’ve Done?

So I’ve got to know, what’s the strangest thing you’ve done for love or money? Just keep your answers clean please!

For me, it’s probably a toss up, because I’ve done several slightly odd things in an attempt to make money. The very first “business” I started — back in the 2nd grade — probably qualifies. I tried to sell shiny perfumed rocks to the neighbor kids. I’m pretty sure only one person bought one, but you’ve got to wonder what their parents thought. (“Hi, do you want to buy a rock?” or “Mooom, can I have a dollar to buy a rock?”)

Or uh, there’s the time I dripped colored wax dots on a sheet of waxed paper and sold those to my grade school classmates. Or when I made money by creating a nearly life-size knight in shining armor out of aluminum foil. (That was fun, but it kept getting all crinkly.)

Then in my 20s, I somehow ended up selling plastic light-up roses to the crowds outside an ASU game. (I think they were headed to the Rose Bowl.) To this day I still hear “They light up!” in my head whenever something reminds me of that. I don’t even remember what I was doing that for, maybe for charity…

Anyway, all’s fun in earning money, right?

What about you? What’s the strangest thing you’ve done?
